Article Processing Charges

The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences (IJIMS) charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of INR 2,100 (approx. USD 25) per accepted manuscript. The exact USD equivalent will vary slightly with the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment; the INR amount is the definitive fee.

  • The APC is charged only upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, following peer review. There is no charge for submission, and no charge if a manuscript is rejected.

  • The APC covers editorial processing, peer review coordination, typesetting, DOI registration (once enrolled with Crossref), and permanent open-access hosting under the journal's CC BY 4.0 license.

  • Payment details and accepted modes (bank transfer / UPI / payment gateway) will be shared with authors at the time of acceptance, along with an official receipt.

  • IJIMS does not request payment at the submission or review stage under any circumstances. Authors should treat any such request as fraudulent and report it to the editorial office.

Waivers and Discounts

  • IJIMS recognizes that the APC may be a barrier for some authors. Full or partial fee waivers may be granted on a case-by-case basis, particularly for:

  • Authors from low- and lower-middle-income countries (as classified by the World Bank)

  • Students and independent researchers without institutional funding

  • Authors facing genuine financial hardship

  • Waiver requests must be made at the time of submission, with a brief justification, by writing to the editorial office at chief_editor@ijims.in. Waiver decisions are made independently of peer review outcomes and do not influence editorial decisions.

  • Should the APC amount change in the future, the revised fee will be published on this page in advance, with an effective date, and will not apply to manuscripts already accepted under the previous fee.
