Author Guidelines

1. General Submission Requirements

  • Originality: All submissions must be original works that have not been previously published and are not currently under consideration by any other journal.

  • Mandatory Documentation: To be considered for peer review, manuscripts must be accompanied by the official IJIMS Author Consent & Ethics Declaration Form.


2. Manuscript Categories

IJIMS accepts the following types of manuscripts for publication:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Case Reports

  • Short Communications & Editorials


3. Authorship Criteria (ICMJE Compliance)

IJIMS strictly adheres to the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) criteria. Every listed author must meet the following four requirements:

  1. Substantial contributions to the conception, design, data acquisition, or analysis of the work.

  2. Drafting or critically revising the manuscript for significant intellectual content.

  3. Final approval of the version to be published.

  4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the research to ensure integrity.


4. Ethical Standards & Research Integrity

  • Human Subjects: Authors must obtain approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee. The name of the committee and the approval number must be explicitly stated in the manuscript. Informed consent must be obtained from all participants.

  • Animal Studies: Research involving animals must strictly follow international animal care guidelines and maintain documented ethical approval.

  • Clinical Trials: All clinical trials must be registered in a recognized public registry. Authors must provide the Registry Name and Registration Number.

  • Reporting Guidelines: Authors are expected to follow standardized reporting guidelines, including CONSORT (trials), PRISMA (reviews), STROBE (observational), or CARE (case reports).


5. Disclosures & Funding

  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could potentially influence the research findings.

  • Funding Statement: Authors must clearly specify all sources of funding received for the research.

  • Data Availability: Authors must confirm that original data will be made available to editors upon reasonable request. Authors certify that no data has been fabricated or falsified.


6. Plagiarism & Publication Ethics

IJIMS maintains a Zero-Tolerance Policy for plagiarism and scientific misconduct.

  • Screening: All manuscripts are rigorously screened for plagiarism immediately upon submission.

  • Misconduct: Any form of data manipulation, duplicate publication, or unethical conduct will result in immediate rejection or retraction.

  • Guidelines: All editorial actions are performed in strict accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
